What an incredible experience last night at the premiere of haveababy. From the pre-party, to the red carpet, to the talk back afterwards, it will be a night I will always remember. I feel so lucky to be able to get to share my journey through infertility in this film. I just know haveababy is going to help break the shame and silence around this issue. And I was really excited to see all the press we got even before we opened (Village Voice Best of the Fest, Upworthy and much more). Lots of journalists were there so I'm sure the media train will keep running. Connect with the haveababy Facebook page or Twitter to see all press. And I was thrilled to learn The William Morris Agency is repping us!
I will be at the Saturday 3pm screening for the talk back. Other screenings are Monday 430pm and Tuesday 945pm. Please come and spread the word. Click here for the schedule and to buy tix.
This morning as I write this with my sleeping baby on me, I feel immense gratitude and peace knowing that I have my baby. To those struggling.... Don't quit! Be flexible with your options and just go get your baby.
Very proud to be part of haveababy movie which is premiering at the Tribeca Film Festival. Very honored that my story will be honored in such a way. It also showcases me performing as Gaga & more! Very excited to have been selected as a queer Canadian artist for this project. The photo that was chosen for the book on queer artists will be revealed at the opening at the Gladstone Hotel in June. More info here. Meanwhile, enjoy some pics from the shoot that we like, but aren't using in the show and subsequent book. Thanks to the incredible Photographer Gunar Roze for selecting me. A pleasure to work with such a wonderful talent. Like him on Facebook and see more of his work!
haveababy has been invited to have its World Premiere at the prestigious Tribeca Film Festival in NYC from April 13-24! This was truly meant to be: our premiere will take place during National Infertility Awareness Week, which is an incredible opportunity to reach a larger audience beyond the film festival itself.
Feel free to share the good news about the premiere, it was just publicly announced and we are excited to spread the word!!
I am so proud to share my story in this documentary about my journey with infertility. Please come! I will be there at the screening!!
