WRITER

Athena writes for various magazines including Today’s Parent, HuffPost Canada, Pregnantish, and Chatelaine. Notable writing credits include being commissioned to write a poem for the New York Aquarium, and her lyrics on display in the permanent collection at the International Museum for Peace and Solidarity in Uzbekistan.  Her play “Lady Gaga: #artbirth” (in which she plays a pregnant Lady Gaga) received Critic’s Pick from Time Out New York, had a 2 year run Off-Broadway, played Toronto at the Berkeley Street Theatre and is set to tour to San Francisco and beyond in 2023.

Author of "LADY GAGA: #ARTBIRTH" which played Off-Broadway at the Laurie Beechman Theater 2014-2015 and received Time Out Critic's Pick, and ran at the Berkeley Street Theatre (Canadian Stage) in Toronto 2017. #artbirth was set for a 4 week run in London, UK and 3 weeks in San Francisco (funded in part by Canada Council and Ontario Arts Grant) in 2020.
